Religion versus Faith

In the debate of religion versus faith

 nothing should matter except Jesus who saves

But instead...

 Traditions and sunday morning christians

 self-pleasers and people appeasers 

recognition seekers and "Holy Spirit" speakers

 finger pointers and self righteous anointer's 

fights over slights and pride in the mind

anger not caused by the manger but by the guilt in people

all of who gather under one church steeple 

fasting, un-lasting not willing to turn

 everyone BUT THEM will suffer and burn

 like seeds scattered over rocky soil 

are those divisive spirits that like a snake, coil

but God calls his people to seek and obey 

doing religion and living God's word are two different things 

but living by faith restores God's eternal blessings

Written during a time of division in the church, and a refocus on attitude versus doctrine.
